Tampere (Finland) - 2019
Waterwood combines city life with life on the water. By focusing on a variety of scaled buildings and landmarks, this project establishes an intimate, mixed-use community that activates multi-scale dialogues within a broader context. This compact masterplan establishes a vibrant urban fabric that weaves together several programs, including residential housing, public spaces, creative working offices, retail offerings, scenic environments, and several cultural and recreational activities. Each aspect of the masterplan contributes to a strong identity for Tampere – both in aesthetics and typology.
